Skydive Lake Wales is situated amongst 250 acres of open landscape in the heart of Central Florida. The Drop Zone is divided into three large main landing areas.

SLW is widely recognized as the friendliest drop zone in Florida, the people are very easy going, and welcoming to new and old faces alike. We have load organizing available for all levels of formation skydiving and freeflying, so you can always find someone to jump with, even if you are here alone. We also offer coaching for both disciplines from beginner all the way up to expert.

Inside the hangar is our spacious carpeted packing area, we can guarantee that you won't find a cleaner or better place to pack in Florida. For those who don't want the hassle of packing, we do of course have plenty of highly experienced packers to make sure that you can always get on that next load!

When you have a great skydive to see on a larger screen, we have plenty of viewing areas around the Drop Zone to play videos, DVDs or to hook up your camera.  For teams, there are private team rooms available with access to TV's and VCR's.

For those wishing to use a computer we have free wireless access in and around the hanger.

Another great feature of SLW is our gear store, Downwind. Home to Windline RW and camera jumpsuits, and Freak'N Suits freefly suits and pants, Downwind sells everything you will ever need to skydive (and look great doing it!) from clothing and accessories to containers and canopies. It is also a full service rigging loft, so if you have rigging needs, you can get it all done right here. Call 863-679-9444.

If you need rental gear, we do have equipment available for both students and experienced jumpers. All of our gear is state of the art, Cypres and RSL equipped and carefully maintained to ensure your safety.  

Throughout the year, there are also many nights with extra special fare, and usually a party to go with it!!

If you want to stay awhile there are plenty of options including trailers for rent, limited RV hook-ups and, free camping on the Drop Zone. Excellent bathrooms and showers, and washing machines and driers are available on site. If you prefer a motel, there are several we recommend within a ten minute drive, all of whom give a skydiver discount.
